Commits are food. Over 400 uncommitted lines he starts sweating; over 1200 he panics. One bad agent turn can wreck a big diff, so commit often.
Reply to your agent within 60 seconds for bonus XP. Keep a daily commit streak. Levels unlock blush, sparkles, headphones, shades and a crown.
Double-click to chat. He sees your diff and your agent's last messages: write my commit message, vibe check, what's my agent doing?, what's next? Uses your own Anthropic key.
Floats on top of your windows but clicks pass through everywhere except the pet. Drag him anywhere. He follows whichever repo your agent is working in.
He reads ~/.claude session logs and runs git on your machine. No account, no telemetry. Chat is the only thing that leaves your laptop, and it goes straight to Anthropic.
v0.1 isn't notarized yet. Either use the one-liner (curl -fsSL vibepet.net/install | sh), which installs to /Applications with no warning, or open the .dmg, drag vibepet to Applications, try to open it once, then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.
For the agent alerts, yes. vibepet reads Claude Code's local session logs. Without it he still eats commits, sweats over big diffs, and chats.
Right-click the pet → Set Anthropic API key. The key is encrypted in your macOS keychain. You can also launch with ANTHROPIC_API_KEY set.
Not yet. It's an Electron app, so they're coming.
Right-click → Quit. To uninstall, delete /Applications/vibepet.app. We'll miss you.
